Meet the Team
Amy Butler Smith
Threads is Amy's vision come to life. Her Grandma Nancy taught her to sew when she was just 4 years old, which is around the same time her entrepreneurial spirit made itself known. Amy got the beginning ideas of Threads in 2016 when she moved into an apartment complex that housed many refugee families.
Megan was raised in Malawi and resides in Cape Town. She is Threads resident photographer who is also passionate about bringing the best branding and marketing practices to small businesses, like Threads, that would normally not have access to these things. Megan is also active in buying all of our African wax fabric from markets and shops in Southern Africa.
